Have you heard of Meet Up and Eat Up?

Meet Up and Eat Up, also known as the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), is a valuable initiative that offers free nutritious meals to children up to the age of 18. It specifically targets children living in low-income areas, where 50 percent or more of the students qualify for free or reduced-price school meals.

To find a nearby location, visit the Meet Up and Eat Up/SFSP Site Locator Map at  www.michigan.gov/meetupeatup . All site information, such as meal times and open days, is updated daily.

Thank you to all the Wayne County families who joined the Great Start Parent Coalition for a memorable summer Playdate at Patton Park on June 15th. We had an incredible time connecting with you and providing valuable resources, free books, family fun, and engaging literacy stations. It was a joy to see everyone enjoy the event and make lasting memories together. Your participation made the day truly special. Thank you once again for being a part of it!  Be on the lookout for more of our events at greatstart.org/events!

Join the Great Start Parent Coalition for our monthly meeting on Thursday, July 20th at 1:00pm on Zoom.

During this meeting, we will be diving into the topic of home-visiting family support. This service provides professionals, such as social workers, nurses, or early childhood educators, who offer support to families in their own homes or at a location where they feel most comfortable. It's a valuable resource for families in need of additional assistance in caring for their children.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn more about home-visiting family support and how it can benefit you and your family. Join us on Thursday, July 20th at 1:00pm on Zoom.
